The
Banshee Train is a suspenseful story for children (ages 4-8)
by Odds Bodkin, with luminous watercolors by Atlanta NRHS chapter
member Ted Rose. The story, which is based on folktales brought to
America by Irish immigrants, is about a Gaelic banshee that saves
a locomotive from careening over a flooded trestle in the
mountains near Denver.
