The museum is open Thursday - Saturday throughout the year. We're also open Monday and Wednesday during the summer and selected Sundays. Check our Events Calendar for special activities including events with Sunday hours for detailed dates. In addition, we also offer tours. Safety
Hours 10am-5pm
There is a group discount of $2 off of regular admission per person for groups of 12 or more. Guided tours rates on the tours page already include this discount. Park train rides are available subject to the weather, equipment and staff availability.
As the park train rider is totally exposed, generally speaking the park train rides will not operate if the temperature is not expected to be above
40 degrees F, in the rain, high winds or approaching storms and will not operate if the sidewalks and loading platforms are icy.
Full Scale (big) train rides are available subject to the weather, equipment and staff availability. Generally speaking, the big train ride will not operate if the temperature is not expected to be above 35 degrees F and will not operate if the sidewalks and loading platforms are icy. Full Scale train rides operate with either a pair of cabooses or a retired passenger car depending on the weather. Train rides will be complimentary with birthday parties, hosted group tours, certain special events.
