- This family event is fun for guests of all ages – and admission to ‘Disney’s A Christmas Carol’ Train Tour is totally FREE.
Frequently Asked Questions
- The train tour will be open 9am - 7pm
- Attendance for the Tour is first come, first served. There will not be advance / timed tickets for admission.
- Plan to spend 30-45 minutes visiting the exhibit and the sneak peek of the film (this does not include time standing in line)
- Parking is available on the museum site
- The train is handicap / wheelchair accessible
November 5-8 The museum will be a stop on the Piedmont Pilgrimage, the Piedmont Division of the NMRA's 7th Annual public tour of Atlanta's Great Model Railroads.

May 16 Armed Forces Day

Members of our nations armed services, both active & retired, are invited to visit the museum free of charge.
June 27 and 28 Locomotive Celebration -
The museum celebrates the collection of locomotives... Old and new and in particular the return to exhibit of Chattahoochee Valley #21.
This year's event will also include...

N.R.H.S. Meetings:
Two Atlanta Chapter National Railway Historical Society (N.R.H.S.) meetings are scheduled each month. These are not just for chapter members - the general public is welcome.
- The Board of Directors meeting is held on the second Thursday of each month. These meetings start at 7:30 in the museum's audio/visual room in building #1. (Click here for directions to the museum)
- The chapter meeting is held on the fourth Saturday of each month at the museum. Meetings include a brief program and social time
